We work alongside the Love Music Trust to enable all our Year Five children learn a musical instrument for the full year. The children choose from xylophones, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, flute and french horn. They learn to play as an orchestral group and have the opportunity to play with the Halle Orchestra at The Bridgewater Hall during the year.
Children from 19 schools across Cheshire East, together with Love Music Trust ensemble members, all played their part in a giant orchestra, performing a brand new commission, Free to Fly, composed by tutor Jay Stannard.
The parts were worked together in the studio to form a finished track featuring soloists, choirs and vocal groups, drummers, brass players, wind players, bassists, guitarists, string players, pianists and percussionists.
