Your views are important to us, we are always keen to hear your questions, comments and concerns. Your feedback is one of the ways to make improvments within school to provide the best opportunities for our children..
Annual Parent/Carer Questionaire
At parent/carer teacher consultations the summer term, we will be once more distributing our annual parent/carer questionnaire. It is very useful for us to have feedback and this is always reflected upon at a strategic level with governors. Please do complete the survey – it helps us to know what is working well and what we can/should develop further.
Of course, as you can see from this section of our website, you also gave us much positive feedback about what we do well, what works for your child and what we should keep doing. So, your feedback is very much valued and we do hope that you can complete the survey again for 2020.
In the Summer Term, we will send out a short parents and carers survey. The survey will be in two sections.
- The first section asks you to agree / disagree to statements – these relate to Ofsted inspection criteria and will be about teaching, learning, behaviour and safety, and leadership.
- The second section is more open-ended where we might ask for your thoughts on a number of different issues.
The surveys can be returned to us unnamed, if you’d prefer.
The summary of recent parents and carers questionnaires can be downloaded below.
Speak with the class teacher
Parents’ evenings are held twice a year – once in the autumn term and another in the spring. However, informal meetings can be more effective.
We encourage parents of all our pupils to keep in close contact with the school, it’s nearly always possible to speak with a member of staff before school and the class teacher after school, and a longer discussion can be arranged if you have specific concerns or would like to know more about how to support your child.
Speak to the Headteacher and Senior Leaders
As well as speaking to the class teacher, Mr Cotterill is available to talk through any concerns that you may have, you can make an appointment to speak to him via the school office. Mrs Jeffery, Mrs Devenport and Mrs Durban are also available to speak to before and after school.
Parent View gives you the chance to tell ofsted what you think about your child’s school. Parent View asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of your child’s school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. Ofsted will use the information you provide when making decisions about which schools to inspect, and when. Please use the link below to access the Parent View website.
If you’ve got some feedback for us, we’d like to hear from you. You can contact us at any time by email or via a note given in at the school office.
Your questions, comments or concerns are often answered in our monthly newsletters, termly class letter or class specific letters. All letter are sent home using our electronic school communications system, Parentmail, and are downloadable from the school website.
