Recognising Achievement

Recognising Achievement

Children’s achievement in all areas of our school environment are recognised and celebrated in many ways.

  • Genius and Star of the Week Assembly. A special assembly on a Friday announces all the children who have been recognised for their achievement during that week. They receive a  badge and certificate to take home. A listing of our Genii and Stars of the weeks can be found in our reception area.
  • House points. Children are awarded house points through the week and the winning house is announced at the end of each half term and awarded the House Points Trophy.
  • We send postcards home to celebrate achievement and following our school values, this is a nice suprise for both the children and the family.
  • 100% attendance certificates are awarded on a termly basis
  • We hold a termly attendance treat for children who achieve an attendance of 98% or greater.
  • The class with the best weekly attendance is awarded a certificate and the attendance trophy along with a non uniform day.
  • Finally, we hold an awards night in the summer term where the following awards are presented to children from each class: Maths Wizard, Bookworm, Star Writer, Role Model and Sports legend. We also award a Head Teacher award for a pupil from KS1 and KS2 and have a community award for 1 pupil in the school which is sported by the Knutsford Rotary Club.
