Welcome to Manor Park
WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL
Thank you for expressing an interest in our school; it is with great pleasure that we welcome you to our vibrant and happy school family.
Our school, on Manor Park North in Knutsford, is a community school which is well placed to serve the children, their families and the community. We are committed to our school vision, which underpins all of our curriculum and development plans:
'Make the most of every day.'
We provide a high quality education for all our children from age 2 to 11 years. Our Strategic School Development and Inclusion Plan is designed to ensure your child enjoys an exciting and stimulating curriculum so that she/he achieves academically and socially, develops a love of learning and feels fulfilled. The needs of your child are paramount at Manor Park.We take enormous pride in our commitment to teamwork, to partnership with parents and to links with the community. We meet the needs of your child by getting to know him/her as an individual, through a carefully managed introduction to Nursery and School; through thoughtful planning and record-keeping by teachers; through good liaison with other agencies and services involved in the education of your child and through regular contact with you. We are always ready to make arrangements to discuss your child, and no concern is too small.
All teachers run after-school clubs, which include sport and the arts. We also have an arrangement with a local school for before and after school provision for working families. All pupils are able to take part in three residential visits during their time at Manor Park: one for Year 3/4 children (currently Condover Hall, in Shropshire), one for Year 5/6 (currently The Manor in Shropshire), and one for the Year 6 pupils as part of their tranisition to high school.
The school benefits from having been recently extended (completed September 2015), with a brand new two storey Key Stage 2 building incorporating five classrooms, a library, three intervention/group working rooms, as well as new toilets. The school also benefits from having a purpose-built nursery, a brand new (September 2015) two year old nursery provision room, extra areas in the school for art, design-technology and for structured play, superb playing fields, a zoned playground designed for many types of physical activities and a woodland within the grounds used for outdoor learning.
If you have any general questions which are not answered on our website, please do not hesitate to contact us; we will happily answer any queries you may have and would be delighted to offer you a tour of our school. We, and all of the staff, look forward to getting to know you and to working with you whilst at the same time helping your child reach their potential in order to live a full and happy life.
