Welcome to Team Galaxy and Team Starburst

2025-2026

Welcome to the start of our new school term. The children have settled back in well and have been sharing lots of stories about what we have been up to at home. We are very excited to start the Summer term and looking forward to making new friends, building strong relationships and creating lots of wonderful memories over the coming term. 

This half term in Team Starburst we will be focusing on the theme of Minibeasts, exploring this through stories, songs and play. 

This half term in Team Galaxy we will be focusing on the topic "Minibeasts and Pets." We will spend time outside exploring the lifecycles of plants and caterpillars. We will start preparing for Phonics by looking at the picture cards for each phoneme and recognising phonemes in our name. We will explore stories and vocabulary through Drawing Club, and share our own Helicopter Stories with our friends. 

The children will also be able to extend this learning at home as we introduce the children into our reading book area and encourage children to choose a book to take home weekly in their own reading bag. 

We will spend time practising to sit and listen during circle times where we will explore the daily calendar and sing lots of nursery rhymes and songs each day. 

We will be looking at the different celebrations throughout the summer term including Father's Day and Sports Day. We will invite parents to join us for our regular 'stay and play' events.
