Rainbow Room
The Rainbow Room is placed at the centre of our school building. This is because the emotional well-being of our children is central to all that we do at Manor Park School. It is used throughout the day to deliver intervention and to support our pupils and their families. Our children are encouraged to access the Rainbow Room and the support of Miss Moreland (or other adults in school) for help with problem solving, friendships, life events and big emotions. However, conversations about emotional well-being are not restricted to the Rainbow Room. In our classrooms we teach children to talk about their health both physical and mental. We teach about tolerance and acceptance. We encourage children to develop resilience and to use a growth mindset.
